in order to go on living: an online equinox ceremony

In honor of the Spring equinox in the northern hemisphere and the Fall equinox in the southern hemisphere we gather in the name of the Lorde.  Audre Lorde, who sought to turn her every word and action into medicine to fight the cancer that she acknowledged as a growing threatening presence in her body and as related to the capitalist destruction of the planet, offered a prayer for the equinox.  This year, in the midst of panic and epidemic we will gather online to listen to what adaptation is teaching us.  Guided by the poem “Equinox” and archival research into the life, healing and political imagination of Audre Lorde this is a workshop for people who want to reflect on care, mutual survival and the cycles of life in a supportive space.   To what extent can we be intentional about what grows, what we harvest now in our own lives, as a species, and as an interconnected planet?
