When We Free, written and directed by Julia Roxanne Wallace (Sangodare) and produced by Alexis Pauline Gumbs explore the spiritual questions that the newly free faced after emancipation from slavery in the Carolinas.  This ritual screening of the film will include engagement with the writer/director, producer and actors Iyanifa Osunnike Ankh and Iyanifa Ololodi.
