A Motherful Reality: Love is Lifeforce All Ages Workshop at MotherHouse ATL
Love is Lifeforce: An All-Ages Coloring Workshop
Saturday March 12, 11:30am-2pm
Motherhouse (home of SisterSong and Sisterlove)
1237 Ralph David Abernathy Blvd, Atlanta, GA 30310
Join Revolutionary Mothering Co-editor Alexis Pauline Gumbs, her revolutionary Mama Pauline McKenzie, Lactation Activist and Mama Faye Harris and Bianca Campbell (board member of Access Reproductive Care Southeast) for a light brunch and some deep activities.
The Sisterhood of Black Single Mothers decided to change the english language in the 1980’s. Instead of describing non-patriarchal families as “fatherless” they described them as “motherful” families. Riffing on the genius of those mamas the Revolutionary Mothering crew is creating Motherful community events around the country, which are open to everyone! We will bring the crayons and revolutionary activities, you bring your generations of brilliance and you’ll leave with intergenerational learning tools to keep the revolution alive! Bring your loved ones of all ages! Bring a dish to share if you want!
Revolutionary Mothering: Love on the Front Lines will be available for sale at the event by Charis Books and More!

P.S. It is a super big deal to us to be having this event at the historic MotherHouse! Check out a video Alexis and Pauline made when SisterSong first moved into MotherHouse:
